We Didn't Steal Anything - Gasperini Genoa coach Giampiero Gasperini admitted his team were lucky to beat Atalanta after going a goal down, but doesn

Genoa came back to beat Atalanta 2-1 in the first match of the 19th round of Serie A. It was the second consecutive time they came from behind to win, after the impressive away win against Lazio last weekend.

However, whereas with Lazio they fully deserved the points, this time they were somewhat lucky as Atalanta hit the woodwork three times and also saw a goal controversially disallowed for offside.

At the end of the match, coach Giampiero Gasperini admitted his team were lucky but still felt the result was deserved: "Sure, we had a bit of luck, but that doesn't mean we stole the victory. I think that, most of all, our ability to react was rewarded."

Genoa have earned 10 points in the last 4 matches, a feat that has allowed them to reach 25 points and momentarily leap above Sampdoria, who play tomorrow, in the standings.
