Ancelotti Hails Mature Pato Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti has hailed teenage wonderkid Alexandre Pato and says that the striker is mature beyond his yea

The 18-year-old made his debut amid much expectation and media frenzy against Napoli yesterday evening, and he did not disappoint.

The Brazilian scored the final goal in the 5-2 victory at San Siro, and formed an immediate understanding with fellow countrymen Ronaldo and Kaka.

"Pato is a very mature lad for his age, he's very cool and carefree,” Ancelotti told Radio Rai this morning.

Pato signed for Milan in the summer from Internacional, however he was ineligible to play until January due to Brazilian transfer laws for Under-18 players.

“He had a lot of desire to play, because not playing for six months weighed on him a bit, but he lived this desire with great tranquillity,” added Ancelotti.

“I gave him security that once the transfer problems would have been solved, he would have played.

“He waited with patience, he had the time to get to know his new team-mates and before the game I didn't tell him anything, as he didn't need any request from this point of view.

“He has great speed, great coordination and is very quick in preparing the shot."
