Benfica Set To Sign Laszlo Sepsi Left back Laszlo Sepsi looks set to sign for five-season deal at Benfica…

Benfica look set to sign left-back Laszlo Sepsi on a five-and-a-half season deal, according to Romanian newspaper Noul Prosport.

With the possible departure of Leo at the end of the season, and with Miguelito loaned out to Braga, Benfica have been on the search for a new left back, and it seems that the 21-year old Romanian fits the bill.

Noul Prosport reports that Sepsi has been in Lisbon since yesterday and that the fullback may well have signed with the Lisbon-giants following their stalemate with Leixoes.

The player is reportedly set to cost around 1.7 million euros, and will earn around 250,000 euros per year.

Sepsi reportedly also interested several other clubs, including Steaua Bucharest and Timisoara, however it seems that Benfica have won the race to sign the Romanian.

Sepsi is a key member of the Romanian Under-21 side, and will sign from Gloria Bistrita.

The deal is likely to be concluded in the next few hours, and will be a welcome addition to Benfica’s roster, following recent poor results at the club.
