Benfica were reported to be close to a deal before they pulled out of talks and Dica is now set to complete his dream move to Spain after being offered a contract worth around €800,000-a-year.
Intense negotiations took place in Olivia Nova, a town close to Valencia, where Steaua are staying on a training camp and the deal could be announced later today in a press conference.
“I wish to play in Spain, because I think that Primera Division is the perfect place for me. I hope I will end up playing for a Spanish team,” Dica said this week.
Football agent Tente Sanchez admits that Dica has an offer from Spain: “I can tell you that Dica has an important offer from Spain, but i cannot give names at the moment,” he explained.
“All I will say is that it is an important team.”
