Dmitriev: I Haven't Signed For Arsenal Highly promising Torpedo Moscow defender Vyacheslav Dmitriev has rubbished reports that there is an agreement

The Russian press insist that the 17-year-old defender has reached a deal to join Arsene Wenger's young charges at the Emirates Stadium in the summer, but Dmitriev is adamant that there is no such agreement exists.


"I haven't signed a contract with Arsenal as some newspapers have wrote," said Dmitriev, who is also said to be of interest to Juventus.


"If the interest is true, such a deal would only be possible anyway if the clubs have negotiated."


Torpedo president Alexandr Tukmatov was quick to echo his young prodigy's denial.


"Nobody from England has contacted us enquiring about Dmitriev," he said curtly.

Wenger also insisted that such reports were false, though in the same breath he did express fondness for another Russian, namely Zenit St Petersburg playmaker Andrei Arshavin.
