After drawing the first leg 1-1 in the Sánchez Pizjuán, Jiménez is hopeful that Sevill can keep a clean sheet in Camp Nou.
"To give Barça a goal at their place would be like virtually handing them the tie," he explained.
"We are going to have to be very clever at the back. We have to then take advantage of the chances that we can create, because I know we are capable of making a few."
Sevilla were beaten by Athletic Bilbao in the league at the weekend and Jiménez was unimpressed by the home team's up and under approach to the game.
"We have to recover from the defeat as it was a big blow because we should not have allowed a team like Athletic to win as they were not technically as good as us," he continued.
"They based their play on going direct and won. It is a defeat and I am not happy, but we can put that behind by winning on Tuesday.
