Lucarelli To Be Unleashed On Inter

Parma head into this evening's game aware that most pundits and bookies have the result marked out as a foregone conclusion.

However, coach Mimmo Di Carlo wants his team to show resolve.

“I am convinced you must play every game right to the bitter end, even against the strongest opponents,” he said.

“We will try our best, aware it will take a show of courage to get anything against Inter.”

Of course, they will be hoping to take some positives from Cristiano Lucarelli's debut.

“It is possible,” said a smiling Di Carlo, refusing to give much away.

It is also a special occasion for the club, as the game marks the one year anniversary of president Tommaso Ghirardi taking over.

To commemorate the occasion, Parma will step out in yellow and blue stripes that date back to the 1950s.

Meanwhile, Inter will celebrate Roberto Mancini's 200 games in charge of the club, and will be just as keen to make it a memorable evening.
