Megson Rues Not Taking First Half Chances Bolton manager Gary Megson was satisfied enough with an away draw from St. James Park, but still felt that

In a rather tepid start to Kevin Keegan’s return to Newcastle, Bolton wore down the Magpies for ninety minutes to leave the North East with a point after a 0-0 draw.

But Megson felt his side need to start turning their patches of possession into goalscoring chances.

“I happy with the draw at the end, but I wasn’t too happy at half-time because I felt we had the better of it and could have taken the lead.

“In the second half they came at us and I’m happy to leave with a draw because we were away from home and lately we’ve let goals slip in the second half.

“We’ve got an issue there where we can’t sustain our advantage, and letting it gradually fall away.

“I think in midfield one or two struggled towards the end with the intensity of the competition, so we’ll look at that, although I’m not saying if we are going to get what players in and for what position!”
