Marino: We Created Lots Of Chances Udinese boss Pasquale Marino believes his side deserved to beat Cagliari this afternoon as they created lots of op

The Zebrette started off 2008 in the perfect manner with a 1-0 win at the Stadio Sant’Elia.

Fabio Quagliarella grabbed the winner on 32 minutes, soon after the side had been reduced to 10 men, following the sending off of Brazilian defender Felipe.

“In the first part of the game we played at a slow tempo,” said Marino.

“After the sending off we raised our game and created lots of chances.”

Udinese are having a superb season and are currently in the Champions League places in fourth position.

“The boys are working well on the field and you can see the results,” Marino continued.

The ex-Catania tactician was asked if his side could maintain their form and book their place in Europe’s premier club competition next season.

“We have never announced it in that sense. We are living day by day but there is no limit to what we can do,” he concluded.
