Archubi, River's third reinforcement for the new season, trained for the first time with his new teammates, although the majority of the squad find themselves in Salta, where they will face Racing Club in a Copa del Verano match.

The former Lanus midfielder, who recently joined River Plate from Olimpiakos of Greece, is currently under the orders of former Inter Milan midfielder Andres Gugliemimpietro, who is one of Diego Simeone's helpers this season.

"I'm very happy to be at such a big club like River Plate is. I hope to get in shape like my teammates as soon as possible, so that I can live up to the expectations generated by my transfer," stated the midfielder.

Archubi was River's third signing of the season, after Uruguayan striker Sebastian Abreu and Racing Club centre back Gustavo Cabral.
