It remains unclear how long the pacy winger will be out, but Chelsea boss Avram Grant was not sounding optimistic after the match.
“It is not looking good but we will have to wait and see” Grant told the club’s official website.
“He was very good in the last week so even if we are used to losing all the players who are in good form, we want him back as soon as possible.”
Chelsea already have key players Didier Drogba, Michael Essien and Salomon away at the African Nations Cup, and Claude Makelele, John Terry and Frank Lampard out injured.
