Bolton and Manchester City have both been monitoring the situation but look set to miss out on the hit man.
Cissé grabbed two goals during Marseille’s weekend victory over Valenciennes and reassured the club that he intended to stay with the South coast side.
“I am still here” he told L’Equipe. “I think that I will be here until the end of the season.
“I announced I would score 20 goals and it would be stupid not to get them,” Cisse added.
“I am on five, so 15 remain and it is feasible. I believe in it in any case.”
Cissé rose to prominence at Auxerre scoring 70 goals in 128 games, which earned him a £14 million move to Liverpool.
However, mixed form and the fact that Gerard Houllier was replaced by Rafa Benitez led to his exit from Anfield.
Although he has not set the world alight at the Stade Velodrome, the forward remains supremely confident he can score the 15 goals he needs to achieve his target.
