
The Nerrazzurri are fully aware of the importance of the 26-year-old's contribution and do not have any interest in listening to offers.

Actually, the Brazilian international's contract has proven a bone of contention between player and club, as the €1.5m per year salary that was negotiated when he first signed from Monaco in 2006 is no longer befitting his importance to the club.
The latest reports will have come as comfort to Inter's fans, however, as president Massimo Moratti is said to have reacted to the growing interest in Maicon by offering him a one-year extension until 2012 along with a massive pay rise.
