A mere five months after the season began, Paris Saint-Germain finally managed a home Ligue 1 victory, much to coach Paul Le Guen's relief.
"This is a good victory for the club," he exhaled to PSG.fr.
"It's also good news for the fans, who can be more optimistic about the future.
"We had been determined to play this match as we were confident that we'd finally get what we've sought for so many months.
"We're still in the lower half of the table, but we're not that far from the top. Now, let's work to get there."
Opposite number Jean-Pierre Papin rued, "This scoreline hurts.
"However, sometimes it's necessary to go down before going up. As of today, we can't go lower - we've hit rock bottom. Our weaknesses have emerged, and we'll need to work hard to correct them.
"We'll take matches one by one, with the matches to come looking both important and interesting. I hope to see us improve as quickly as possible."
