Podolski Linked With Manchester City Move

Unsettled Bayern Munich striker Lucas Podolski has been linked with a move to the Premier League according to media sources in Germany.

It seems as if the German international is ready to leave the Bavarian club after falling out with officials and it is believed he could go for around £12m.

According to speculation in Germany the striker has been linked with a possible move to Manchester City after Sven Goran Eriksson’s assistant Tord Grip travelled to Germany to check up on the 22-year-old forward.

Podolski seems unhappy at the club after being left on the bench on several occasions and he has admitted that a lack of playing time is not what he is looking for but rather regular football.

The Bayern star admits he does not want to be a bench warmer at the Bavarian outfit and a move abroad seems likely to happen sooner rather than later given the fact that he fell out with club officials.

Podolski said: “The way it works here is you score a couple of great goals, then you only get 45 minutes next game, then you're dropped for three. That's not good enough for me.”

“I want to prove myself here but I don't want to go grey on the bench.”

Bayern Munich currently lead the German Bundesliga and are likely to qualify for the Champions League.
