Sibierski Rejects Ligue 1 Return Wigan Athletic's Antoine Sibierski has rejected the chance to move back to his homeland with Lille

Wigan striker Antoine Sibierski says he would rather stay at the JJB Stadium than move back to France.

The former Manchester City and Newcastle man has been in England since leaving Lens in 2003, but isn't tempted by a move back to Le Championnat.

French side Lille, with whom Sibierski began his career back in 1992, came in with an offer but the player revealed he is extremely happy with his life in the north west.

"Lille contacted me three weeks ago to ask me if I wanted to get back to France," the striker stated.

"I told them 'no' straight away, I don't want to go back to France. My family are happy living in Manchester and I'm very happy at Wigan."

Sibierski has made 12 starts and scored 4 goals for the Latics since moving from St. James' Park in the summer.
