United And Madrid Battling For 15-Year-Old Wonder-Kid Manchester United have joined to race to sign highly-rated Brazilian youngster Neymar da Silva

Despite being only 15 years of age, Neymar has already trained with the Santos first team and is thought to be one of the most talented teenagers on the planet.

The striker is said to be an instinctive dribbler with electric pace and a constant desire for the ball and has drawn comparisons with Robinho (pictured). It took Santos coaches just one look to decide that he had the kind of class they were looking for.

Unfortunately for United, Real Madrid are at the front of the queue to sign the child prodigy from Mogi das Cruzes. The Spanish giants have already penned a pre-contract agreement with Neymar's agent, Wagner Ribeiro.

Nothing, however, has been agreed with Santos.

With this in mind, United's team of South American scouts have identified the player as a possible target and have made enquiries about his availability with Santos. Barcelona, Arsenal and Chelsea are also said to be interested.

Realising that Neymar cannot sign a professional contract until he is 16, Santos have acted quickly and finalised a deal for his image rights which they will hold until 2015.

This means they are owed £15 million if he joins another club, something that has apparently angered Real Madrid as they believed they had already sealed the boy's signature through his agent.

Whoever Neymar ends up playing for, it is apparent he'll always have the support of his proud father.

"He's only a child but he has everything to become a star of the future," said Neymar Senior
