We Deserved A Draw: Marino

Marino was clearly left disappointed after his side went down to a dramatic injury time winner courtesy of Alberto Gilardino.

Milan made the most of the Bianconeri’s fatal errors at the back which ultimately cost the home side the game.

It was harsh on the Bianconeri who played well and Marino believes his side should have come away with a least a point.

“Tactically we played really well and I am happy with the way the team performed,” said Marino.

“We were quick at closing them down and we allowed them little space. Towards the end we were not able to start any thing, we became tired and Dossena took a battering for most of the game.”

Gilardino’s goal was down to a serious error of judgement by Christian Obodo who got tangled up and gave away possession just outside his area however Marino did not blame his defensive midfielder for the goal.

“From the way they scored we deserved at the very least a draw. I’m not blaming anyone for the goal. Mistakes like this are just part of the game.”

Marino might just change his opinion on the goal if Udinese fail to qualify for the Champions League.
