Two first half headers from Emmanuel Adebayor set them on their way, before Tomas Rosicky put the icing on the cake with a third deep into the second half.
"We did not give many chances away and scored three goals away from home so I think it is a very strong response to our last game and shows how much this team is up for it” Wenger said after the game.
“In the first half I feel we played very well and in the second half we controlled the game. We didn’t give them a chance and there was more in the locker if needed” he added.
“Overall I’m very happy with the performance and with the message we gave out today. I think it’s a fantastic result.”
The Gunners boss reserved special praise for two-goal hero Emmanuel Adebayor.
“He has shown again how dangerous he is when he is in the box with crosses coming in. In his all-round game he was good again and I’m very happy that he scored from two crosses.”
Arsenal now face two cup ties before they return to league action, but today’s performance is a clear sign that they are back to winning ways.
