In an interview with ‘Welt Online’ Allofs insisted he was committed to Werder.
“It doesn’t matter if there is interest from other clubs. Werder has absolute priority. Bremen is my club, and I feel great here. When we want to sit down and talk, I’ll be available” he explained.
“The first discussions have taken place and if we find ourselves in agreement, there will be no contact with other clubs” he insisted.
“The challenge here at Werder is attractive. A team is never finished. It lives and constantly changes. To be involved in that is for me a great challenge”.
With Tim Borowski the latest in a long line of big names to make the move south to Bayern (Klose, Frings, Valerien Ismael, Andreas Herzog, Mario Basler), today’s comments from Allofs will reassure the Werder faithful a little.
